What does a GPS system contain?

Your Guardian Property System contains at least one Gateway, Leak Detector(s), and may contain  Remote sensor probes deluxe.

Leak Detector

The LoRaWAN® Guardian Leak Detector is a wireless, battery-powered water sensor intended for integration with LoRaWAN® gateways. The Leak Detector will notify the gateway on sensing water. It can be placed near bathrooms, washing machines, and other appliances or fixtures to detect water leaks. It can sense as little as three drops of water. It has three points of water detection: the top sensors, the bottom sensors, and the Remote Sensor Probe. Together they monitor any appliance or fixture for leaks. The Leak Detector also houses a temperature and motion sensor. 

The Top sensor detects the first few drops of a leak. Place the leak detector directly underneath appliances or fixtures to detect water leaks using the top sensor. The rear cutout of the Leak Detector lets you place the Leak Detectors directly next to a wall even with quarter-round molding. Example use cases include underneath toilet valves, sink drains, or water inlet hoses. 

The Bottom sensors detect leaks after the water reaches the ground and starts to spread. Use the Bottom sensors if the appliance or fixture you wish to monitor is on a flat surface and water will travel along the floor in a predictable path. Example use cases include water heaters, bathtubs, or basement doors.

Remote Sensor Probe Deluxe

Connecting the Remote Sensor Probe Deluxe to the input on the Leak Detector will let you detect leaks in confined spaces as well as rising water levels. The Remote Sensor Probe detects leaks along its entire length and multiple probes can be linked together to increase its length. You can use the Remote Sensor Deluxe Probes at the same time as the other sensors on the Leak Detector. If there is no room for the Leak Detector on the floor, use the built-in-magnets to attach it to a metal surface. Example use cases include sump pumps, floor drains, or underneath appliances.

 LoRaWAN® Gateway

Our Gateway uses LoRaWAN technology and is designed to connect battery-operated Leak Detectors over long distances. Because of its long-range, high penetration, and high sensitivity capabilities, it can be used for a wide range of IoT applications. The gateway is easy to deploy, thanks to integrated antennas, and can be mounted on walls or ceilings to extend LoRa® connectivity in commercial buildings like hotels, convention centers, offices, and retail facilities providing coverage in difficult-to-reach areas. Gateway is for indoor use only.

Using the Guardian Property System web portal/ Dashboard, customers can install devices, see the status and location of deployed devices, and set up alerts and reports for devices.
